P.S. to Jim: I forgot to comment on your opinion of the words "hell" and "Hades." If Hades means "simply the dead," how can the dead follow the pale rider - unless this passage possibly means "the spiritually dead"? That could mean the living who are spiritually dead and it could mean the damned of Hell "proper" o it could mean both. Due to the clearly ominous portent of the "pale" rider, one can seriously dismiss that the Scriptural reference to "hell" or "Hades" means the blessed in Heaven or the Poor Souls in Purgatory.

Last, I agree with you that the image is probably some play of light - "but for it to appear in that way...would still indicate a sign by God," as you wrote.

I regret, however, that I can't agree with you that the consecration of *Russia* has been accomplished or that Sr. Lucia confirmed it to be so. There's ample evidence to prove the contrary (if living in these evil times is not enough)...so if you're interested in giving an honest and hard look at the "other side of the coin," may I invite you to start with my published articles on the very important topic of Fatima? Two more comments: the consecration of Russia HAS been accomplished; it was done by JP2 and Sr. Lucy confirmed before her death that the consecration had been accepted. And the Greek word that is usually translated as "hell" is "Hades", which isn't the place of punishment we associate with hell. Hades is simply the land of the dead. IOW, the dead follow this rider on a pale horse as do the subjects follow their king into battle.

I don't think the image in the film is a hoax. It is possible that it is a lens flare or some kind of reflection in the lens. But for it to appear in that way in that point of the video would still indicate a sign by G_D.

Just to beat a dead horse (if you'll forgive me!): Chloros doesn't just mean "green". It's usually used to refer to a pale green or yellow-green that's usually associated with illness or dead bodies. (Ergo the "pale" horse.)

Marianna, by accident I came across the Greek word used to describe this "pale horse" of the Apocalypse. St. John the Evangelist apparently used the Greek word "chloros", when writing his Gospel. Well, "chloros" means...(wait for it)...green.
So, there you have it, maybe?

Marianna, did you notice that the pale horseman (Mimi saw it right away) appeared to RAISE A SWORD? She didn't think it was a crown or high, Middle-Eastern-type headdress, but a SWORD. After watching the video several times, I have to agree - it looks a lot, at least, like a raised arm. A very loooong arm.

Exactly! For who has made himself the enemy of God and His Church but Satan? Yes, the infiltrators are doing the work of the fallen angels, but we can never forget that the *eternal* Church forever remains Christ's Spotless Bride. The Church does not sin, but individuals *within* the Church can and do sin. The Church is Mother and Teacher; but the children of the Church will either be faithful or faithless. It all has to do with the 'mystery of grace' vs. 'the mystery of iniquity.'
It is the faithless ones who sully and abuse the eternal Church, just as the innocent Christ was slandered, abused, tortured, and killed. The infiltrators plan to 'kill' the Church, and a time is coming when She will, indeed, die and Her enemies will seem to triumph. God shall allow it, for the Church must always follow the path of Her Divine Spouse, Jesus Christ. But She, too, will be gloriously resurrected.
Finally, may we remember the words of St. Ambrose: "Also the stars - that is, men surrounded by the praise of their fellow Christians - shall fall, as the bitterness of persecution mounts up; which must however come to pass, until the number of the faithful be made up; for so the good are proved and the weak made known."

My mother also remembers when the Third Secret was to be released in 1960. It was common knowledge among the faithful.
As for the terrible sexual scandal in the Church, please note that Papa Ratzinger never explicitly said 'yes' in that regard; however, he did speak of the sufferings *for* the Church. Of course, we cannot deny that the scandal is part of the sufferings *for* the Church; it is a pernicious attack against the souls of children and teens; an attack against the family, which is the foundation of society. As terrible as is that scandal, it is one of many of the Church's enemies' plans to destroy the Church 'from within' - just as Pope St. Pius X warned in "Pascendi Dominici Gregis" when he spoke of the enemies 'within' the Church, writing: "...they put into operation their designs for her undoing, not from without but from within." (para. 3)

Recalling pre Vat 2 Catholic classroom when I was ten as we all anxiously awaited the announcement of the Third Secret from Pope John. Sr Paraclete came on the PA system to say the Pope decided not to reveal it because it did not feel it pertained to his pontificate.a collective sigh of disappointment could be heard throughout the school halls coming from all the classrooms. We all heard that it mentioned ,"Bishop against Bishop and Cardinal against Cardinal". How odd I thought, when it was said again at Akita.Now I am reading the same in the headlines as Bishop attacks Bishop and Cardinal attacks Cardinal with accusations of who knew what when regarding the sodomite scandal within the church.

I was recently at a Catholic homescooling mothers retreat. The wonderful priest answered our questions for a very generous amount of time. When the conversation meandered to how he felt socialism was already here, it seemed to follow that communism was on the way too. So I asked that if this were the case then wouldn't it seem that Russia WAS spreading her errors and communism and the consecration had NOT taken place....to which this very Marian priest agreed! He also believes that Our Holy Father believes it has not happened. Sadly, like in other troubles Pope Benedict has, he can not garner a collegial consecration from the Bishops, they are not supportive enough in numbers great enough.

Do you know what the name LULIN actually means? Is it "wormwood?" I tried to find out, and got something from Wikipedia about the fall of Mang dynasty, Chinese wars etc. I'd be curious to know what it means or stands for. I don't think this is 'coincidence' that this 'sign' appears in the heavens at this time. We've crossed one too many lines in America, I believe, with the war on the unborn and now cloning, fetal stem cell research...I do believe Our Lady is speaking and has been, and now we're being warned by various signs and "birth pangs" volcanoes, earthquakes, etc. This is a time of grace, and Divine Mercy, but the "right Arm of Justice" is getting heavy on Our Lady's shoulder.

Thank you Marianna for bringing this to our attention. My husband who listens to the radio and TV heard nothing of this. Today as my daughter and I reviewed the info you provided, looked at the photography of the Northern Lights caused by the comet on Valentine's Day, and reviewed the star charts... it seems it may be noteworthy that the comet is leaving the constellation Virgo when entering Leo.
Thank you for your perseverance and teachings.

After all the talk on the email list about the rosary and five first Saturdays I went to the yahoo group and looked up what you had written about it and printed that out. I wanted to thank you though so I thought I'd stop by here and give you a very big Thank you for all your hard work and all you do for us and the Blessed Virgin as well. I was only doing first Saturdays really by accident when we had our Carmelite meetings now I fully intend to make the effort to do it on my own regardless. It will mean confession and mass at different churches because we're so rural but it is most definately going to be worth it! Again thank you!
